Warranty Policy
At Son of John, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our boxershorts. Every pair is designed with durability and comfort in mind. We offer a limited warranty on the fabric of our boxershorts: 1 year, valid worldwide, for all purchases made from June 23, 2025 onward.
At Son of John, we stand behind the quality of our products with a limited warranty on the fabric of our boxer shorts: 1 year, no matter where you are in the world. This warranty covers defects in the fabric material only and does not apply to other parts of the product. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
Orders placed in the Netherlands or Belgium between June 23, 2025 and June 16, 2026 remain covered under the 2-year fabric warranty that applied at the time of purchase. All other terms below apply equally to those orders.
No other warranties, express or implied, are provided.
Scope of the warranty (fabric only)
The warranty is strictly limited to the fabric and covers only the following:
- Proven manufacturing defects in the fabric material
- Premature fabric failure (such as holes, tears, or abnormal thinning)
only when: - The product has been used under normal conditions
- All care instructions have been followed precisely
If the fabric itself is not defective, the claim will be rejected.
Explicit exclusions (not covered under any circumstances)
The following are explicitly and irrevocably excluded from the warranty:
Product components
- Stitching, seams, threads, or construction defects
- Elastic waistband, including but not limited to:
- Loss of elasticity
- Detachment or separation
- Deformation
- Labels, tags, or any non-fabric components
Care and usage
- Any damage resulting from:
- Washing above 40°C
- Tumble drying
- Ironing
- Improper detergents, bleach, or chemicals
- All returned products are inspected
→ If tumble drying is detected in any form, the warranty is automatically void
General exclusions
- Normal wear and tear (including fading, pilling, or softening)
- Accidental damage, misuse, or negligence
- Stains, discoloration, or odor retention
- Fit, sizing, or comfort preferences after wear
- Products used outside intended daily underwear use
- Special, limited, or exclusive editions
Inspection and verification
- All warranty claims are subject to physical and visual inspection
- Son of John reserves the sole right to determine:
- Whether the issue is fabric-related
- Whether care instructions were followed
- Any uncertainty regarding cause of damage will result in claim rejection
Shipping costs (no exceptions)
- All shipping costs related to warranty claims are fully borne by the customer
This includes:
- Shipping to Son of John
- Return shipping to the customer
- Original order shipping costs are not refundable
- Son of John subsidizes initial shipping only; warranty shipping is not subsidized
Warranty process
- Claims must be submitted within 12 months of the original purchase date
- Email support@sonofjohnlabel.com with:
- Order number
- Clear photos of the fabric issue
- Claims are reviewed within 5 working days
- If approved (at Son of John’s sole discretion), one of the following will be provided:
- A replacement pair of equal or similar style, or
- Store credit equal to the original purchase price
No refunds will be issued.
Conditions and limitations
- Valid only for products purchased via sonofjohnlabel.com or authorized retailers
- Proof of purchase is mandatory
- Warranty is limited to one replacement per boxershort
- The warranty is non-transferable
- Son of John reserves the right to modify or terminate this warranty at any time without prior notice.
