Our story begins with rediscovery.
Growing up in Germany, Australia, and the Netherlands, we rarely saw anyone wearing wide boxers. That changed when we moved to Amsterdam. Among students, wide boxers weren’t the exception – they were the standard. They looked better, felt freer, and offered a confidence tight underwear never did. Yet every pair we wore fell short. So we set out to create the perfect wide boxer – and bring it to the rest of the world.
To create the perfect boxershorts, we turned to the expertise of John Crocket, known for premium menswear and exceptional shirting craftsmanship. From their decades of knowledge, we learned how fine shirting fabrics behave, breathe, and age. Together, we reengineered 100% organic shirt-grade cotton into something new: ultra-thin, silky, breathable, and made to last – designed specifically for underwear.
The name Son of John is a quiet nod to that heritage. An evolution of classic shirt-making into something modern, relaxed, and worn every day.
Every detail follows that philosophy – from the durable construction to the removal of all inside labels for irritation-free comfort. Instead, a subtle external logo sits like a denim patch: refined, playful, and intentional.
On the 8th of october 2024, Son of John was born and the mission began.
